Many people have Buffalo-style chicken wings as their favorite finger food!  Learn how to prepare these bundle of wings that everyone would surely love!

Buffalo chicken wings are a popular American food that can be cooked in many different ways. Buffalo wings, or chicken wings are bathed in a spicy buffalo sauce. This hot sauce mixture typically consists of vinegar and other ingredients such as cayenne pepper and garlic powder. Those looking for that extra heat with tanginess can add Tabasco sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb chicken wings
  • 2 Tablespoons oil, as needed
  • 2 Tablespoons buffalo sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons melted butter, optional

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 425 °F.

2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Set aside.

3. Place 1 Tablespoon of oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.

4. Pat the chicken wings dry and add in batches to the skillet.

5. Pan sear the chicken wings on each side until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. You’re not cooking the wings in the skillet, just searing them.

 

6. Remove the seared chicken wings and place these onto the prepared cookie sheet.

7. Repeat in batches until all chicken wings are seared.

8. Bake chicken wings for 15-20 minutes, until an inserted meat thermometer reads 165 °F.

9. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter and buffalo sauce, adjusting the measurements to taste.

10. Place the chicken wings in a bowl and pour in the butter-buffalo sauce.

11. Toss the chicken wings until fully coated. Serve these crispy buffalo chicken wings warm.
