These parmesan crusted pork chops made in the air fryer are the juiciest pork chops you’ll ever eat. Packed with flavor and ready in 10 minutes!
After trying pork chops in the air fryer now, I don’t know if we’ll ever go back to pan frying them.
These were hands down the best pork chops I have ever made. For some reason’ I’ve just always struggled with pork chops and making sure they’re cooked correctly. I usually play it too safe and they end up dry.
These pork chops in the air fryer, though, were so tender and juicy. I seriously can’t believe how well they turned out!
And on top of that, they were so easy to make and there was almost no mess to clean up afterwards. At least, there was no oil splatter on the stovetop to clean up which is a huge plus in my book!
How to Make Pork Chops in the Air Fryer
The length of time you’ll need to cook your pork chops in the air fryer is totally dependent on the type of pork chop you use. Is it bone-in or bone-out and how thick is it?
I used boneless pork chops that were about 3/4″ thick. For me, 380 degrees for 8 minutes (flipping once in the middle) was the perfect amount of time.
If your pork chops are on the thinner side, you’ll have to decrease the time to accommodate.
I set out two small containers to get started.
In the first container was about 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
In the second container I combined:
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
Mix that up really well. Then dip one pork chop in olive oil to coat both sides and transfer to the panko mixture and coat both sides. Press down to make sure the crumbs stick.
Press each coated pork chop in your air fryer basket.
I lightly spray each side with a nonstick spray then. This is not necessary at all, but I love the golden brown color it gives the topping.
This recipe was enough for me to make 6 pork chops. Since you need to air fry them in a single layer, I had to do two batches.
Every single person in the family declared these the best pork chops to come out of this house and wants them made this way repeatedly in the future.
They were so juicy and tender inside!
