Peanut Butter Sprinkle Cookies combine creamy peanut butter, colorful sprinkles, and a touch of sweetness, making them a fun treat for all ages.

Sometimes you just need to get out the sprinkles and have some fun with your food! It’s a great way to get kids involved in the kitchen too.

When my kids were younger, they were all about eating the delicious food that was coming out of the kitchen, but getting them to help make it was more of a chore.

But if I pulled out the sprinkles, they were guaranteed to be begging me to let them help! Not only are the colors fun, but getting to roll the balls of cookie dough until they’re covered is apparently a blast when you’re a little kid.

And I get it. I really do. There’s something about all those colors that I swear make everything taste better too!

These homemade peanut butter cookies are the perfect combination of sweet and salty. They are also really easy to make, so they are great for a last-minute dessert.

If you are looking for a new and unique cookie recipe to try, I highly recommend giving these a go!

  • pastel colors for Easter
  • pink or blue for a baby shower
  • school colors for a graduation party
  • or teach your kids colors as toddlers by telling them to roll in a specific color and helping guide them to the correct one. It’s a great sensory teaching activity!

FAQs

How to make cookie dough?

To make cookie dough, start by creaming together 1 cup of softened butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy. Add 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing well. In a separate bowl, combine 3 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. This basic dough can create various cookie types, including peanut butter cookies with sprinkles.

How do you put sprinkles on cookies?

To sprinkle on cookies, decide if you want to add them before or after baking. To add before baking, gently press the sprinkles onto the cookie dough before placing it in the oven. This works well for butter cookies with sprinkles.

If adding after baking, use a thin layer of icing or egg wash to help the sprinkles adhere. This method is ideal for decorating pink sprinkle cookies or peanut butter reindeer cookies.

How to make monster cookies?

Add 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1 cup of M&Ms. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Try adding some peanut butter with sprinkles for extra fun.

What can replace baking soda?

Baking powder is a common substitute if you need to replace baking soda in a recipe. Use 3 teaspoons of baking powder for every 1 teaspoon of baking soda.

This substitution works well in recipes like sprinkle cookies recipe or lace cookies, ensuring they still rise properly and have the right texture. Vinegar or lemon juice can also be used in some recipes, though they may alter the flavor slightly.
