Buffalo Chicken Pizza is the ultimate game day party food! A homemade pizza crust topped with shredded buffalo chicken, melted cheese, and a drizzle of wing sauce! You will be going back for seconds!

Earlier, I showed you how I make large batches of buffalo chicken and keep it in the freezer for whenever I need it.

This is when I need it! Having that bag of buffalo chicken ready to go means a quick and easy dinner that tastes amazing and has everyone bragging about what a good cook I am.

Pair that buffalo chicken with my homemade pizza crust and this recipe knocks it out of the park.

Speaking of sports analogies… this is perfect for tailgating parties! You can even make it on a cookie sheet so you have squares for all your guests.

Either way, it will be a hit and will disappear quickly!

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Pizza

I’m going to just pretend that you haven’t listened to me and don’t (yet!) have batches of buffalo chicken ready to go in your freezer. That means you need to make it from scratch, which still is pretty easy.

You can either grab a rotisserie chicken and shred it or cook 1 chicken breast to get enough shredded chicken for this recipe.

You need anywhere from 1.5-2 cups of shredded chicken. Once you have that, toss it with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and 1/3 cup of hot sauce. Now you have your buffalo shredded chicken.

Lay your pizza dough out on the counter and spread it with 1/2 cup of blue cheese dressing. I’m a blue cheese girl all the way, but if you prefer, you can use ranch dressing for this step.

Just be sure to leave a little bit of an edge for your crust.

Then top it evenly with your shredded chicken.

For the cheese, I use about 1.5 cups total of cheese. Like I said, I’m a blue cheese girl so I make sure I get about 1/2 cup of blue cheese crumbles on top of my pizza.

The other 1 cup of cheese is mozzarella. I prefer to get a whole piece of mozzarella and tear it into small pieces. This just seems to melt better than shredded cheese.

You can totally use pre-shredded cheese, though, if convenience is important to you. I totally get it!

Then, bake it at 400 degrees. The amount of time is going to depend on what type of crust you use. If you use a pre-formed crust from the store, you’re most like going to bake it for around 15 minutes.

Since I use a homemade crust, mine took closer to 25 minutes. Just make sure you pay attention to the directions on your crust.

It’s going to come out of the oven all gooey cheese and little crispy pieces of chicken.

Basically, it’s going to come out and you’ll want to devour it immediately. And you totally can!

But I like to drizzle it with a couple of tablespoons of buffalo sauce and sprinkle some chopped green onions on top.

It’s the perfect finishing touch for this glorious pizza!

Ingredients

  • 1 Pizza Crust pre-made
  • 2 cups Shredded Chicken
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter melted
  • 1/3 cup Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Blue Cheese Dressing
  • 1 cup Mozzarella torn into pieces
  • 1/2 cup Blue Cheese Crumbles

Garnish

  • 2 Tbsp. Buffalo Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Green Onions chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a small bowl, combine shredded chicken, melted butter and hot sauce. Set. aside.
  • Spread blue cheese dressing on pizza crust leaving about a 1/2" edge around the perimeter.
  • Top with the shredded buffalo chicken and spread evenly over dressing.
  • Spread both cheeses over chicken.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes or according to the time on your specific pizza crust.
  • Remove when it is heated through, the dough is cooked and the cheese is melted. Drizzle with remaining buffalo sauce and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
