It basically consists of baked cream cheese, shredded cooked chicken, ranch dressing mix (or mayonnaise), hot sauce (or Tabasco), and green chilies.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cooked and chopped
  • 1 package of cream cheese (250 g or 8oz.)
  • 1 bottle ranch dressing (475 mL)
  • 3-4 stalks celery, chopped (Alternative: 1-2 cans of water chestnuts, chopped)
  • 3/4 cup of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • 1 cup of cheddar, grated

 

Directions:

1. Thaw the frozen chicken and proceed in making the sauce

2. Soften block of cream cheese in room temperature and mix bottle of ranch and hot sauce. Mix these liquids until mostly smooth.

3. Stir in celery, chicken, and sharp cheddar cheese on the mixture.

4. Place this creamy ranch dressing into large resealable freezer bag or other freezer-safe container. Lay dip mixture flat and freeze.

5. Bake chicken at 350 °F for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly or in the slow cooker for 2 to 3 hours on low setting.

6. Serve with cubed bread or crackers.
