Honey Mustard Ham and Swiss Handwiches

This Honey Mustard Ham and Swiss Handwiches are super fast and easy to make! Great for lunch or dinner, its puff pastry tastes better than bread when combined with ham and swiss cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 17.3 ounce package Puff Pastry, thawed but cold
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons stone ground mustard
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 cups ham, diced
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, cubed

 

Directions:

  1. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the honey and mustard.
  4. In a small dish, beat together egg and water, set aside.
  5. On a floured surface, unfold puff pastry.
  6. Cut out four 4” circles out of the puff pastry.
  7. Using a well floured rolling pin, roll out the circles until thin and about 6.5” wide.

  1. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for second puff pastry sheet.
  2. On each circle, add 2 heaping tablespoons of ham and 1 heaping tablespoon of cheese.

  1. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of mustard mixture over each filled pastry circle.
  2. Using a basting brush, spread egg wash onto edge of each circle.
  3. Fold each circle in half and seal by pressing a fork around the edges.
  4. Brush egg wash or mustard sauce over the top of each of the pastries.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool on pantry for 15 minutes before serving.
