Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Cast iron skillet
  • Baking sheet
  • Aluminum foil (optional)
  • Meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 2 turkey tenderloins, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

  • Start by preheating the oven to 375°F.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

  • In a bowl, combine all marinade ingredients and whisk vigorously.

Step 3: Coat the turkey tenderloin

  • Place the turkey tenderloins in the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated, and let them sit for 10-15 minutes.

Step 4: heat a cast iron skillet

  • Place a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat with a splash of cooking oil. Once hot, sear the tenderloins on each side for 2-3 minutes until they form a golden crust.

Step 5: Apply Dry Rub

  • Transfer the seared tenderloins to a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Generously apply the dry rub to all sides of the turkey.

Step 6: Bake

  • Once the oven is preheated, place the turkey and bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the turkey's internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Step 7: Serve

  • Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing to ensure it remains moist and juicy. Serve with turkey gravy and your favorite sides.

Notes

  • This turkey tenderloin recipe is versatile and can be tailored to suit any season. Consider grilling the tenderloins for a smoky flavor during the summer months, or incorporate seasonal vegetables into your marinade.
  • In the fall and winter, warming spices like cinnamon or nutmeg can be added to the rub for a festive touch.
