Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter, cold

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk to combine.
  • Add the cold butter to the bowl and use a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour mixture. Continue until it has the texture of coarse crumbs.
  • Store the mix in an airtight container in fridge for 3-4 months. For longer-term storage, it can be kept in the freezer in a freezer-safe bag until ready to use.

Notes

  • You can use shortening in place of the butter for a more neutral flavor.
  • Use this as a 1:1 substitute in recipes that call for Bisquick mix.
