Cheesy Bean Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 19 oz. can of black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 Tbsp. dry onion flakes
  • 1 – 2 tsp. hot sauce (depending on how spicy you like things)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4  cup shredded cheese*
  • *For the shredded cheese, you can use cheddar, marble, jalapeno jack, mozzarella, or a blend of several of these types.

Instructions

  • Rinse and drain the black beans. Place them in a pie plate or other oven-safe serving container.
  • Mix the dry onion flakes and hot sauce into the black beans.
  • Stir well and then run the back of your spoon over them gently to spread them out evenly. 
  • Spread the sour cream over the top of the black beans in a thin layer, covering the black beans.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the sour cream. Bake at 350° for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
