Ingredients

  • 1-2 lbs Shredded Pork

BBQ Sauce

  • 1.5 cups Beef Broth
  • ¾ cup Ketchup
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. White Vinegar
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Spicy Brown Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients and stir well to combine. Bring to a boil
  • Reduce heat to low and cover with lid. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Toss sauce with shredded pork and serve.

Notes

The amount of meat per sauce is dependent on how "saucy" you like your pork to be. When we make pork bbq sandwiches, we use closer to 2 pounds of meat per batch of sauce, so the sandwiches don't drip as much. When we serve the shredded pork over cornbread or baked potatoes, we use less meat so that there's extra sauce to soak into the cornbread and potatoes.
