Make-Ahead & Storage

Make ahead: Assemble the dip up to 24 hours in advance, cover tightly, and refrigerate. If adding fresh toppings such as diced tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, or lettuce, wait until just before serving so they stay fresh.
Storage: Cover leftover Mexican Layered Dip tightly or transfer it to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. For the best texture, enjoy it within the first day or two.
Tip: Salsa, pico de gallo, and fresh tomatoes can release quite a bit of liquid as they sit. Drain them well before adding them to the dip to help keep the layers thick and scoopable.
