- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 4-6 large fresh lemons)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups water
- 3 cups vanilla ice cream
- sliced lemons, for garnish (optional)
- whipped cream, for garnish (optional)
Begin by preparing the fresh lemonade. In a pitcher, pour 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Mix in 2 cups of cold water to the lemonade mixture and stir well. Refrigerate to chill, ensuring the lemonade is very cold before proceeding.
In a blender, add 3 cups of creamy vanilla ice cream and 2 cups of the chilled homemade lemonade. If you prefer a thinner consistency, you can adjust the amount of lemonade accordingly.
Secure the lid on the blender and blend the ingredients on high speed for about 30 seconds, or until the mixture achieves a smooth and creamy texture.
To serve, pour the frosted lemonade into glasses and enjoy immediately. If desired, garnish with a slice of lemon and a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch of indulgence.
- Seasonal fruits can add a unique twist; consider blending in strawberries or peaches for a summer variation.

Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less sugar, or experiment with natural sweeteners like honey or agave syrup.
