Printable Campfire Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus Recipe Card

Smoky campfire prosciutto-wrapped asparagus is an easy camping appetizer or side dish made with fresh asparagus, salty prosciutto, and simple seasonings. Cooked in a foil pan over the fire, it turns crisp-tender with lightly crisped, bacon-like edges.

Ingredients

  • 1  bunch asparagus 15-20 spears
  • prosciutto slices enough for one for each asparagus spear
  • pepper to taste (optional)
  • garlic powder to taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Wrap each asparagus spear in a slice of prosciutto.
  • Place the wrapped asparagus in a foil tray.
  • Sprinkle pepper and garlic powder over the asparagus, if using.
  • Cover the trays with tin foil.
  • Place the trays on a grill over the campfire until the prosciutto is crispy and the asparagus is somewhat tender.
