Begin by combining the cinnamon, ground cloves, apple juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, dry crushed red pepper, light brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, water, vinegar, and bourbon in a bowl. This will be your bourbon sauce.
Season the chicken breasts with your preferred cajun spice, then coat them with olive oil.
In a heated pan, add a small amount of butter and cook the minced garlic until it turns golden.
Cook the shrimp in the butter and garlic until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set them aside.
Clean the pan with a paper towel and add more butter. Cook the seasoned chicken breasts for 12–18 minutes or until they are fully cooked.
Once the chicken is cooked, add the cooked shrimp back to the pan and pour the prepared bourbon sauce over the chicken and shrimp.
Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes, letting the flavors meld together.
Serve the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp over garlic mashed red potatoes and sautéed mushrooms and onions.
