Ingredients

  • Ham slices
  • Turnip greens
  • Chicken broth (2 cups)
  • Oil
  • Apple Cider Vinegar (1 tbsp)
  • Onions (Half a cup)
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sugar

Optional:

  • Additional black pepper for garnish
  • Diced pieces of turkey

Instructions

Preparation:

  • Wash turnip greens thoroughly, remove dirt, and separate stems from leaves. Cut leaves into small pieces.
  • Dice half a cup of onions and set aside. Cut up the garlic. Optionally, prepare ham hock or choose alternative meats like turkey slices, bacon, or chicken strips.

Cooking Process:

  • Heat oil in a pan, add onions and garlic, sauté. Add meat.
  • Once onions are translucent, add washed and cut turnip greens to the pressure cooker.
  • Pour in chicken broth and apple cider vinegar.
  • Add seasonings (salt, black pepper, and sugar). Adjust sugar to balance ham's saltiness.
  • Change cooker settings to manual and cook on high heat for 30 minutes.
  • After cooking, transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with additional black pepper if desired. Serve with pepper sauce and diced pieces of turkey.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • For additional flavor, consider using ham hock or experimenting with different meats.
  • Serve as a side dish for dinner or lunch.
