English Muffin Bread
A delicious toasting bread filled with nooks and crannies for your melted butter! This batch makes 4 loaves and is easy to freeze!

- 5.5 cups Warm Water
- 7 tsp Yeast
- 2 Tbsp. Salt
- 3 Tbsp. Sugar
- 11 cups All-purpose Flour
- 4 Tbsp. Butter melted
Spray 4 loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray.
In an extra-large mixing bowl, add warm water. Sprinkle yeast over water and let sit for 5 minutes.
Add salt, sugar and flour and mix until well combined. Divide dough evenly among prepared bread loaf pans. Cover pans and let rise in a warm place until dough reaches top of pans.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for about 30-45 minutes until the bread is a golden brown. Brush the tops with melted butter and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
I have also baked these in mini loaf pans for about 25 minutes before brushing the tops with melted butter and baking an additional 5-10 minutes.
To freeze, let the loaf of bread cool completely and then wrap in plastic wrap. Place entire loaf in a freezer bag and remove all air before sealing.
