Homemade Bisquick

This homemade baking mix recipe is the perfect Bisquick substitute! It makes a large batch that stores for months and you can use it in place of Bisquick in any recipe! Great for pancakes, waffles, muffins, cobblers, biscuits and more!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 3 tsps Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter cold

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk until well combined.
  • Add cold butter and use a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour mixture. Continue until it has the texture of coarse crumbs.
  • Store in an airtight container in fridge for 3-4 months. It can also be stored in the freezer in a freezer bag until ready to use. 

Notes

You can use shortening in place of the butter.
