Ingredients

  • 18-20 Mushrooms
  • Water
  • 3 Tbsp. Flour
  • 2 Eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. Parsley dried
  • 1 tsp. Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt

Instructions

  • Place wax paper on a large plate and set aside.
  • Set out 4 small bowls.
Fill one bowl about halfway with water.
In the 2nd bowl, place the flour.
In the 3rd bowl, add the eggs and beat lightly.
In the 4th bowl, add the bread crumbs, parsley, garlic powder and salt. Use a fork to combine.
  • Dip each mushroom in water, then flour, then the beaten eggs and finally the bread crumb mixture. Making sure to coat the mushroom completely for each step. Place on the wax paper-lined plate and continue with remaining mushrooms.
  • Place coated mushrooms in fridge for about 15-30 minutes to let the coating set.
  • Place mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer pan. Cook at 400 degrees for 7 minutes total, flipping them over halfway through the cooking time.

Notes

I serve these with a horseradish sour cream dipping sauce.  It's about 1/3 cup of sour cream to 1/2 tablespoon of prepared horseradish. You can use more horseradish if you like a stronger flavor. Just stir well and serve with your fried mushrooms!
